How It All Started
In the summer of 2012, our founder found himself at a backyard pizza party surrounded by smoke, uneven heat, and half-cooked dough. As an engineer and lifelong tinkerer, he couldn’t ignore the obvious thought: there has to be a better way. He set out to solve the biggest outdoor oven problems—runaway temperatures, inconsistent cooking, and too much smoke—without losing the fun of cooking outside.
That journey led him to Naples, where he worked alongside traditional pizzaiolos who’ve been perfecting high-heat cooking for generations. After countless tests (and plenty of late-night slices), they helped refine a portable oven design that reaches 800°F+ and can cook a Neapolitan-style pizza in under 90 seconds—with the char, crisp, and flavor you expect from a true stone-fired bake.
